A luxury resort and a budget hostel are chasing completely different travellers, so the creator who sells one is often wrong for the other, and reach alone will not tell you which is which. That is why this page is sorted the way it is. We took 36 of the travel creators brands actually work with, pulled their current Instagram numbers, and grouped them by what they cover: luxury, adventure, photography, budget, solo, family, vanlife, food and the regional scenes. The figures are live and we re-check them every month.
36 creators, 36.7M+ combined followers, 31 verified, across 8 countries. Last checked September 2026.
How to use this list
Everything below is grouped by the kind of travel a creator is known for, because trust in this space is specific. A budget-backpacking audience will not book a luxury villa on someone’s word, and an adventure-photography following has little use for a family-resort pitch. Each creator has their reach, where they are based, and a line on the brands they suit. If you are hiring by geography, the shortlists are right below.

How we put this together
We started from the travel rankings already showing up in search, noted who kept appearing, then pulled live Instagram figures for every name and checked each account by hand before it went in. A few well-known handles were dropped because the accounts had gone dormant. Grouping is by main specialty, order within a group is by follower count. Numbers come from public profiles and move constantly, so read them as roughly current rather than exact, and remember many travel creators are far bigger on YouTube than on Instagram.
Common questions
Who is the biggest travel influencer right now?
By Instagram following on this list, Chris Burkard leads at 3.8M followers, with The Bucket List Family and Mark Wiens close behind. But biggest depends on the goal. For luxury it is Murad Osmann, for food travel Mark Wiens, and for the Indian market Tanya Khanijow.
How should I pick one for my brand?
Start with the trip, not the follower count. A luxury resort points to Jack Morris or Lauren Bullen, an outdoor brand to Chris Burkard or Alex Strohl, a budget product to Nomadic Matt or Gabby Beckford, a family destination to The Bucket List Family. Every entry above says who it suits.
Which creators reach a specific country?
For the US, Chris Burkard and The Bucket List Family. The UK, Jack Morris and Jord Hammond. Australia, Lauren Bullen and Hayley Andersen. India, Tanya Khanijow and Bruised Passports. Canada, Christian LeBlanc and Dave & Deb. The shortlists near the top have the rest.
Are the follower counts exact?
They are pulled live from each public profile and refreshed monthly, but social numbers move daily. Treat them as accurate to the month, not the follower, and keep in mind Instagram is only one channel for most of these creators.
Why are some big travel names not here?
A handful of famous handles now sit dormant or abandoned, so they were left out rather than listed on a number that no longer means anything. This is a list of creators actively working and reachable for partnerships.
